Bishop Terence W. White Sr. & First Lady Marilyn White

Terence W. White, Sr. was born in San Antonio, TX, to the late Mr. Leroy L. White, Sr. & Mrs. Edgar M. White, as one of seven siblings. Bishop White grew up at a time when the black community was really beginning to make strides in the area of civil rights & admits to having been an early recipient of the trails that had been newly blazed and would be. His father was a great example of work & family ethics & Pastor White exhibited entrepreneur skills early in his life by working as a neighborhood lawn boy in the Dignowity Hill area of San Antonio.  He also worked for Everetts Food Store, Perez Gulf Station, and Middlemans Pharmacy.  Pastor White attended and grew up in Second Baptist Church, where he was baptized in 1969 under then pastor the late Reverend S.H. James, Jr..  To date, he still enjoys being a member on record under the leadership of their pastor Dr. Robert L. Jemerson.
He attended Fox Tech High School and joined the United States Army in 1977, with hopes of a long term career in military service, but that was not to be.  Having completed his three year tour, he was honorably discharged. Many changes in his life led him to Huntsville, Alabama, where he enjoyed great success as a Banquet Manager of the Marriott Hotel.  He was later recruited by Service America Corporation to head up their Catering Department and Cafeteria Operations at the United States Space and Rocket Center, where he quickly grew to become one of Alabama's most sought after Caterers.  He had the privilege of Catering the first International Space Camp in Washington, DC on Capital Hill, even serving food in the Ways and Means Committee Room.  Throughout his career, he has served Senators, over 20 Ambassadors from different nations, Cabinet Members, Congressmen, Governors and many others.
He is the father of two sons and one daughter, who are all adults and have given him and his best friend and wife, Marilyn, five grandchildren.  He and Sister Marilyn have by extension, six children and 11 grandchildren.  After many changes in their lives, Pastor and Sister White returned to San Antonio in 1996, where he once again began attending Second Baptist Church. In late 1999, Pastor and Sister White founded Word of Deliverance Ministry Church.  Sister Marilyn White is the Vice President of Word of Deliverance, as well as the Senior Treasurer. Pastor White was a student at the former Guadalupe Baptist Theological Seminary and was also made an interim member of the faculty during their transition to becoming The San Antonio Theological College.  While there, he was offered an Honorary Doctorate by the President, Dr. Ronald Brown.  Pastor White declined the offer because of personal obligations that would soon end his tenure there.  Pastor and Sister White have owned 3 area businesses since their return; Starr Mart Convenient Store and Café, Loving Things Gift Shop and The Reading Room Coffee Shop.  Pastor and Sister White have witnessed the mercies and graciousness of God on a level that enables them to continue in the vision God has given them for Word of Deliverance.

Pray for them as they move forward together in the will of God.
